    Every year on March 8th, International Women's Day (IWD) is observed to recognize the social, economic, cultural, and political accomplishments of women all over the world. The focus of this year's IWD is the role of technology in empowering women and attaining gender equality with the slogan "DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality."

    Technology has recently been a potent weapon for empowering women, providing new options for informational access as well as for work, education, and entrepreneurship. Yet, there are still several obstacles for women to utilize and access technology, such as security, connectivity, cost, and digital literacy.
